Classroom Activities

ANZAC Artworks
During the first week of Term 2, Year 7 and 8 students investigated ways to represent their understanding of ANZAC Day, through a piece of artwork or design.
They were able to choose from five different task options, including:
Create a visual response to John McCrae's famous poem Flanders Fields.
Redesign a new ANZAC biscuit packet.
Create a new camouflage design for the Australian defence forces.
Draw or paint a large-scale poppy inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe's flower paintings.
Design a new medal of bravery.
These works were installed for our annual ANZAC ceremony on Friday 24th April, but currently remain on display for anyone who would like to view them in the front office reception foyer at the school.

Science Snippets
Year 7 scientists spent most of Term 1 learning about safety in science including practical report writing skills, practical skills, identification and safe usage of science equipment and GAINING their BUNSEN BURNER LICENCES.
Well here they are with their official Licence. Congratulations to the Year 7 for conquering this achievement.
Our Yr12 Biologists have started their second SAC (School Assessed coursework) which requires analysis of three practicals. They have just completed their first practical investigating the enzymatic activity within different food samples.
