Welcome to Week 4 - how time flies when you're having fun!

Breaktime Groups

Each day during recess and lunch, students from K-6 have the opportunity to participate in our structured play activities. 

Every recess, Ms Wassman runs our craft club in the hub. The club provides a space for students to spend their recess with friends while working on a particular craft, knitting, drawing, colouring or painting project. We also provide puzzles for students who are avid puzzlers. 

During lunchtimes, Miss Campbell provides the opportunity for students to complete quiet activities in her classroom as part of our reset group. This is a great opportunity for students who may find the playground a little overwhelming to engage in quiet activities and 'reset'. This helps students to connect with other children and supports them to feel ready for their afternoon learning session.

The library is also an additional space for students to play during lunchtime, where activities such as Lego, reading, boardgames and drawing are provided.

New members to the BVPS Craft Club and Reset Group are always welcome and donations of any arts and crafts items are always very much appreciated. 

NSW Public Schools Student Survey

In the coming weeks, we are offering our students the opportunity to participate in the NSW Public Schools Student Survey. The survey gives students the chance to share their thoughts and feelings about life at school, including questions about their engagement, learning experiences and wellbeing at school.

Hearing directly from our students will help us understand what’s working well and where improvements can be made to our school. The survey is confidential, takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and will be conducted online during school hours.

Participation is voluntary. If you prefer your child not to participate, please complete the opt-out consent form, which will be sent home, and return it to the office. Further information about the survey is available at https://education.nsw.gov.au/npss.
