P&F Update
Dear Holy Spirit Community School,
We are now called the Holy Spirit Parent and Friends Association. We also have developed a Parent and Friends logo which you may see around the school now when we run our various events.
This year, our school has identified two important priorities to enhance the learning and play environment for our students.
Firstly, we are aiming to raise a minimum of $20,000 to go towards an upgrade of the Grade 5 and 6 playground. The current equipment has served us well but is now quite dated, and a new playground will provide a safer, more engaging space for our senior students to enjoy.
Secondly, we are seeking to raise $10,000 to update student Chromebooks. Access to reliable, up-to-date technology is essential in supporting modern learning, and these upgrades will benefit students across all year levels.
The Parents and Friends (P&F) Committee will be focusing all fundraising efforts in 2026 on achieving these two goals. Every dollar raised throughout the year will go directly towards funding the new playground and the Chromebook upgrades, ensuring lasting benefits for our entire school community.

We are also on the lookout for General Members to join us. You can even come to one of our monthly meetings and see all the work we do behind the scenes and how we run the P and F. We always welcome new faces and new ideas. If you have a passion and interest to help our school community and be involved in the fundraising/social side of the school I would love to hear from you!!
MOTHER DAY STALL
I would like to thank Celeste for organising the Mother’s Day Stall this year which takes a lot of time, preparation, organisation and effort. Thank you Celeste for taking on this huge job and being so well organised and running it so smoothly this year. You are a superstar!! Thank you for choosing lots of different gifts so our children could have plenty of choice when they were picking a present for their loved one. We couldn’t run these special stalls if it wasn’t for all our parent volunteers so a big thank you to them!
A big thank you also to our Dads who helped run the Mother’s Day Stall this year. From helping our excited kiddies shop up a storm to being top notch sales assistants, the stall full of lots of smiles, excitement and thoughtful shopping. Thanks again to all those wonderful Dads. We hope all our beautiful mums and special persons had an amazing Mother’s Day this year. We hope you enjoyed all your gifts. See you all at the Mother’s Day Stall next year!!
TRIVIA NIGHT 2026- SATURDAY 20TH JUNE
Trivia Night is BACK for 2026!!!
We are currently looking for sponsors for our upcoming Trivia Night. If any of our families with businesses would like to sponsor our Trivia Night we would love to hear from you!! SEEKING DONATIONS
We are also looking for donations that we can use as prizes, silent auction, raffles etc. Things we have received in the past have included spa vouchers, gym memberships, photography vouchers, food vouchers, restaurant vouchers, movie tickets, bottles of wine and so on. Naturally your business will be promoted throughout the event as these prizes are presented to the winners.
We would be grateful for any sponsorship or donations you might be able to provide for this upcoming event.
SPECIAL MORNING FOR OUR STAFF TO CELEBRATE OUR 50TH BIRTHDAY!!- FRIDAY 22ND MAY
To celebrate our school’s 50th birthday, we’re hosting a special morning tea for our wonderful staff on Friday, 22nd May (Spirit Day)
We would love our community to help mark this milestone by donating a plate of morning tea for staff to enjoy. We would love some savory items of food to be donated too.

Mystery Jar Day is just around the corner and we’re bringing the fun again with another classroom competition to boost donations.

Calculated by number of jars per classroom number… so start collecting those jars!
Fill your jar with new, kid-friendly goodies – toys, stationery, wrapped lollies and chocolates, craft items, etc.
- No nuts and please make sure all treats are sealed in their original wrappers.
MUMS NIGHT- TONIGHT THURSDAY 14TH MAY!!!

If families have any Winter Uniform donations (tunic dresses, long sleeve polo tops, pants etc) we would be happy to accept them for our uniform shop!
