Clayfield on Tour

Our final international marketing trip for the year has come to an end with major success. Thank you to our Tokyo and Seoul families, past and present, and Old Collegians, for joining us at our events with Dr Cousins and our international partners, Global Learner.

I am looking forward to travelling to Atherton next week with Dr Cousins, for the Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association (ICPA) State Conference, and having the opportunity to catch up with boarding families and Old Collegians while we are in the area.

Friends of Boarders Parent Group Meeting

Our Term 2 meeting of the Friends of Boarder Parent Group, will be held on Tuesday 9 June at 7:00pm.  If you wish to attend, a Zoom link for this meeting will be sent early next week. Thank you to our Friends of Boarder Parent Group Co-ordinator, Hannah Madill, who will chair the meeting.

End of Term 2

A reminder, if you have not already done so, please supply us with your child’s end of Term 2 and beginning of Term 3 travel plans.

The Boarding House will officially close for Term 2 at 4:00pm on Friday 19 June. No students can remain in the Boarding House after this time. Students can depart after 3:15pm on Thursday 18 June.

Airport transfers will be available from 3:30pm on Thursday 18 June through to 4:00pm Friday 19 June.

Term 3 Commencement

Students may return to the Boarding House from 8:30am on Monday 13 July as school commences on Tuesday 14 July. All boarders are expected to be in-house by 4:30pm on Monday 13 July.

Airport collections are available only on Boarder Travel Day, Monday 13 July, including late night international arrivals. If your child requires transport outside this date, families will need to arrange alternative transport.

A copy of your child's flight itinerary for end of Term 2 and beginning of Term 3 travel is required for the organisation of airport transfers.

Please complete the Leave Arrangements 2026 Form below if you are collecting your child or require airport transfers and send to boarding@clayfield.qld.edu.au with the collection and return dates and times.

If your child is departing early in Term 2 or arriving late for Term 3, prior College approval is required before you make travel arrangements. Please complete the Application for Extended Leave Formbelow and email to absences@clayfield.qld.edu.au if your child will miss more than three school days.

Boarding Events and Celebrations

All boarding parents are invited to join our boarding table booked for the upcoming Luminous Lunch on Friday 12 June. The table will be hosted by our Friends of Boarder Parents Co-ordinator, Hannah Madill, and me. We hope to see you there.

Next Tuesday evening, Youngman House will hold their first event of the year - invite a teacher for a BBQ dinner.  We look forward to welcoming our academic staff into boarding.
