Student Free Day Reminder
We will be having a student-free day tomorrow on Friday 24th November - which is a Teacher Professional Practice Day.

Transition into 2024
This morning (Thursday 23rd November) saw our students enjoying their second transition session for 2024.
We welcomed our brand new 2024 Foundation students into school and were so impressed by how calm, polite and kind our newest enrolments are. We can't wait to see them starting with us full time next year.
We use the sessions to get to know the children, understand the dynamics that work (and those that might not) and get our class groupings right. It is also an important chance for students to build their confidence and understanding of their new school and to feel at home with the people, places and routines for next year.
We also ran a session that saw our current Foundation - Year 5 students transition into their 2024 year levels and groups.
They moved into their new spaces and worked in groups which are being developed as the basis for our 2024 classes. This process allows us to get the balance and dynamics right for each group of students and set everyone up for success next year.
We will have a final transition session for everyone next Thursday (30th November). After this point we will lock in our 2024 classes and assign teachers to them.
Students will be told their 2024 classes on Friday 15th December and will get a chance to meet their class and teacher on this day and bring home a 2024 class list.
End of term arrangements & assemblies
We wish to update parents on arrangements for the end of this term as we finish the school year.
Our final day of term for students will now be Tuesday 19th December and we will finish at the normal time of 3:30pm. This is instead of the original plan to finish at 1:30pm on December 20th.

Our big end of term celebration assembly will be on Friday 15th December at 9am. This will be a wonderful sign-off for the school year with musical performances, Year 6 awards and perhaps a surprise or two.
We will have a short final assembly at 3:15pm on Tuesday 19th to say a final farewell to our graduating Year 6 students and to hear them sing their graduation song.
Parent-run Yoga classes @ SKiPPS
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for our SKiPPS parents and carers to look after their wellbeing in the busy run-up to Christmas and the end of the year.
The wonderful Sara Strell (parent of Ava 1/2B and Leo 5/6H) is a certified yoga teacher and will be running a vinyasa flow class in the Performing Arts room at SKiPPS at 9:05am (straight after drop-off) on Tuesday 5th and Tuesday 12th December.
All parents and carers are welcome to come along, although numbers will be capped at 10 for space reasons.

Time: 9.05 (right after drop off) (60min)
Registration: none, First in best dressed
Bring: mat (and any props, water bottles, etc that you might want)
Cost: none (all donations will be given to SKiPPS; recommended donation $10)
Year 6 Graduation
As we approach the final month of the school year, we are facing up to saying farewell to our graduating Year 6 students who are getting ready to make the move to secondary school in 2024.
Our formal graduation ceremony will take place in the quadrangle on the evening of Thursday 14th December, from 5pm until 7:30pm.
Formal invites will be sent home to Year 6 families in the coming days and we ask that you register your attendance and let us know by completing the RSVP Google Form that will also be sent home.
