Good morning Families,
As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, each month we will focus on one Child Safe Standard at Holy Rosary. In February this focus is Standard 1 ‘’Establish culturally safe environments in which the diverse and unique identities and experiences of Aboriginal children, young people and students are respected and value.’’
As a staff we plan to improve our implementation of Child Safe Standard (CSS) 1 by enhancing Naidoc and Reconciliation Week experiences, improving our library display, and sharing some of the wonderful resources we have on Aboriginal culture. If you have a particular interest in Aboriginal culture we’d love to hear your suggestions and advice on how we could further enhance our offer in CSS 1. As our Wellbeing Leader, Michaela is the contact for this important area.
