Ms Brea Terris

Dear Families,
Next week we are looking forward to celebrating Book Week at Swan Hill North Primary School!
Book Week is always a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our love of reading, stories and imagination and we are excited to see our students and staff getting involved throughout the week.
Our Book Week Parade will be held next Friday morning at 10:30 am. Families are warmly invited to come along and join us.
We can't wait to see the wonderful characters and costumes our students bring to life!
With our current building works and limited facilities, we have needed to make some adjustments to how we organise the parade this year. Holding the parade at 10:30 am will give us the best opportunity to still go ahead if the grass is wet and work around the spaces currently available to us.
I understand that the change in timing may impact some families and their work or other commitments, and I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
I really appreciate everyone's understanding and flexibility as we continue to juggle the challenges that come with the works currently happening across our school.
Despite the building works, we are determined to continue providing the special events and experiences that our students love, and we are looking forward to a fantastic week of celebrating books and reading together.
We hope to see many of you at the parade next Friday!
Parent Opinion Survey
Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Carer Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback.
The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement.
Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.
All families are invited to complete the survey.
The survey is completed online and takes about 20 mins to complete. It would be appreciated if you could please complete this survey.

Curriculum Day
Please note our next Curriculum Day will be on Monday. There will be no students onsite this day. Staff will be involved in professional learning.
2027 Enrolments
Enrolments for 2027 are now due!
We have been delighted with the strong interest in Swan Hill North Primary School, with many families already enrolling for 2027. This is a very positive reflection of our wonderful school community and the learning opportunities we provide for our students.
If you know of any families who are considering enrolling their child at Swan Hill North Primary School, please encourage them to contact the school office to arrange a tour. We would love the opportunity to show them around and share everything our school has to offer.
School Uniform
Thank you to all the families who have already completed our School Uniform Survey. Your feedback is very helpful as we work with School Council to review our current Student Dress Code Policy and consider our school uniform into the future.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to complete the survey yet, we would really appreciate you taking a few minutes to share your thoughts. Your feedback is an important part of this process.
Thank you for your support and input.
A friendly reminder that all students are expected to wear the full school uniform each day. This includes wearing black shorts, pants, skirts or skorts as part of our uniform. Blue bottoms are not part of the approved school uniform.
We appreciate your support in ensuring students come to school in the correct uniform each day.
School jumpers and jackets are available, and if your family requires assistance with purchasing uniform items, please don't hesitate to contact the office. We are always happy to work with families to ensure every student has access to the correct uniform.
Duty of Care
Families are reminded that teachers are on duty before school from 8.30am-8.50am and after school from 3.20pm until 3.30pm. Children should not be unattended in the school grounds before or after these times. Thank you for your support and co-operation with this.
Have a lovely weekend.
Kind Regards
Brea
