Caring Learning Growing: Every Child Every Day

Dear Families,

All I can say is wow!

Since the last newsletter, so much has changed. The most notable change has been the removal of the portable. This has opened up the space and given us a magnificent view through to the new STEAM centre. Our Grade 3/4 children are happily ensconced in their new learning spaces in the parish centre, and Mr Cross's and Mr M's classes are now sharing the library space.

None of this would have happened without our staff's incredible work. We've moved, shifted, and cleaned up a great deal to get to this point, including coming in over their break to ensure that when the children arrived on the first day of term, the spaces were all ready for learning.

I could not be more grateful to the staff and feel incredibly privileged to be part of such a wonderful school community.

We are also very grateful to Monsignor Glynn Murphy and the office staff for allowing us to use the parish centre. As a parish Catholic school, we are part of the parish community; we are there to support each other. This connection is one of the things that make Catholic schools unique.

Our project is on track, and we cannot wait to be in our beautiful new spaces.

Many thanks to Sallie Koening and her incredible group of assistants for all of their organisation of our Trivia night. Thank you also to all the families who donated food items to make platters. It will be a great night of fundraising, and it will be lovely to be together as a community.

Our fundraising efforts will improve our children's playground. All money raised will benefit the children. The two priority areas are reinvigorating the nature space on the Roberts Avenue side of the school and replacing the soft fall under the playground equipment.

I hope everyone has been studying hard!

Congratulations to Ruby G, Ruby S, Eden, Gracie, Tyler and Mason, who competed in the Greater Western Athletics in Ballarat last week. This is a wonderful opportunity for our children, and they did us proud.

Well done to Tyler and Mason for winning their events and reaching the State finals in Melbourne. What a wonderful achievement.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.

God bless

Louise
