Spotlight on Sports

Our students were full of excitement as they took part in one of their favourite sporting events of the year, the NSSSA Endeavour Foundation Cup!

Three teams proudly represented Concord School, competing in a round-robin competition throughout the day.

Our A team put on an outstanding performance, making it all the way to the Grand Final and securing a nail-biting win by just one point!

Our two B teams also had a fantastic day, both progressing to the Grand Final, where they faced off against each other. This meant Concord proudly claimed both first and second place!

Throughout the day, our students demonstrated fantastic sportsmanship, teamwork and determination. They encouraged one another, celebrated each other's achievements and represented Concord with pride.

Congratulations to all our students on a fantastic day of competition!

9/10 Market Stall

During week 1, our Secondary 9/10 students held their much-anticipated Market Stall! This project has been a focus throughout Term 3, with students developing valuable functional skills in money management, budgeting and costing products.

Some students chose to create their own products to sell, carefully working out their costs and pricing. Others used their budgets to purchase items and resell them with a mark-up. There was also plenty of creativity on display, with groups organising fun experiences for students and staff to enjoy, including karaoke, discos and the famous Pie Splat!

With Matt on long service leave, I was lucky (or perhaps unlucky!) enough to be awarded a turn in the firing line and face the fresh cream pies!

It was a fantastic day that gave students the opportunity to apply their literacy and numeracy skills in authentic, real-world situations while developing their customer service, teamwork and collaboration skills.

Well done to our Secondary 9/10 students for their creativity, hard work and a very successful Market Stall!
