Principal's Report

Term 4
Welcome back to Term 4!
It is hard to believe we are already heading into the final term of the year. Along with the sunnier days and warmer weather, there is plenty to look forward to as we head towards the end of 2026. Term 4 is always a busy and exciting time at Concord School, with end-of-year celebrations, special events and our upcoming graduations providing opportunities to celebrate the achievements, growth and progress of our students throughout the year.
I would like to say a big thank you to Flora Nixon, our wider Leadership team and all staff for their support while I was on Long Service Leave over the first two weeks of term. I had a great break and really appreciate everyone keeping things running so smoothly in my absence. It has been great to be back and reconnect with everyone as we get stuck into the final term.
There is plenty to look forward to over the coming weeks, and I am excited for all that Term 4 has in store. It is a wonderful time of year to celebrate how far our students have come, recognise their achievements and enjoy the many special moments that make this such a busy and rewarding term at Concord.
Recent Highlights
Although the term has only just begun, we have already celebrated some fantastic achievements in our sports program. On Friday, our students competed at the State Athletics Championships. They achieved some outstanding results, and we are incredibly proud of their efforts. Another highlight was the Year 9/10 Surf Camp in week 2.
What a fantastic way to start the term.
Curriculum Day – Student Free Day
A reminder that Monday the 2nd of November is a whole school curriculum day and there is no school for all students on this day. The Term 4 curriculum day is dedicated for staff to undertake duties relating to assessment and reporting.
SunSmart Reminder
As we head into the warmer months, it’s important that we all stay SunSmart at school. We encourage all students to bring a hat to school and wear it when outdoors, particularly during recess, lunch and outdoor learning activities.
We also remind students to be mindful of sun safety by seeking shade where possible, wearing sunscreen and staying hydrated throughout the day.
Thank you for supporting us to keep our students safe and sun smart!
Principal’s Award- Ekin Nguyen - 12C
Growth of Learning!
Ekins continued effort and work over the course of the year has been outstanding. He has consistently come to school with a positive attitude to schoolwork and his peers.
Ekin is eager to complete all class work independently, and help his classmates with any challenge whilst demonstrating the Concord School values of Belong, Connect and Grow.
He has persevered through all challenges that came his way this year and connected with his peers and whole school community.
Ekin has excelled when attending our Watsonia Campus to sell treats to our junior campus.
Congratulations to Ekin on being a great member of the Concord School community.
