Message from the Principal

At the start of Term 3 it has been a pleasure to see our Year 7s of Cohort 2029 returning full of confidence and more fully prepared for life as a high school student. At the other end of the school, Cohort 2024 is back and studying hard for their final exams early next term. We are, as a community, very proud of the efforts all our students across the school are making in classes, in leading their peers and in their contributions to the life of the school. Some of their great work and efforts are captured throughout this newsletter.

Enrolment applications continue to exceed expectations. For 2025 Year 7 entry, this excess demand unfortunately means that about 100 families who applied from outside the school zone were not able to be accommodated. Next year we will have 11 classes of Year 7 in Cohort 2030 drawn entirely from young people residing in the school zone. This will bring the total enrolment of the school to around 1,300 pupils.

Parents and carers, please take a moment, after reading this newsletter, to search your inboxes for the email from Shae Nechwatal containing information and the link to the Parent/Carer Opinion Survey. We appreciate your time providing feedback to the Department of Education and the school.

Finally, book your tickets for family and friends to come along to the school musical, Mary Poppins. The show is looking fabulous! The link for tickets can be found in the 'Preston Life' section of this newsletter - get on board before they sell out!
