Before & After School Care
Term 3 – Week 3 Recap This week was full of excitement, teamwork, and creativity!
Our biggest highlight was our Soccer Tournament, where children enthusiastically participated, demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, encouraged one another, and had lots of fun. It was wonderful to see everyone so engaged and excited throughout the competition.
We also held a discussion about our service menu, giving children the opportunity to share their ideas and suggestions for meals and snacks they would like to see in the future. Their feedback and enthusiasm were fantastic, and we look forward to including some of their favourite choices.
Board games continued to be a popular choice this week, with children enjoying games such as Connect Four, Hop & Pop, and Uno. These activities encouraged turntaking, problem-solving, communication, and social interaction. Our creative experiences included Diamond Art, where children carefully designed colourful artworks, as well as creating their own personalised keychains, allowing them to express their individuality and creativity.
To finish the week, children enjoyed making their own sensory stress balls using balloons, exploring different textures while developing fine motor skills and creating something fun to take home. Overall, it was a wonderful week filled with active play, creativity, teamwork, and opportunities for children to share their ideas and interests.
Lalor East TheirCare Term 3 – Week 4 Weekly Recap – Before & After School Care
This week, our children enjoyed a variety of exciting and engaging experiences. They explored science through hands-on cooking and slime-making, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and teamwork.
In the gym, children participated in active group games, including the popular Octopus game, promoting cooperation and physical wellbeing. We were also excited to introduce our new service mascot, Easty, who has quickly become a valued member of our Before & After School Care family.
On Thursday's Curriculum Day, children had a fantastic time getting creative with arts and crafts, playing board games, and enjoying a range of fun physical activities throughout the day. It was wonderful to see everyone building friendships, trying new experiences, and having fun together.
Lalor East TheirCare Term 3 – Week 5 Weekly Recap – Before & After School Care
This week at Before and After School Care, children enjoyed a variety of fun and engaging experiences. They explored their creativity using clay to create different sculptures and enjoyed role-playing in our dramatic play area, which was transformed into a restaurant. Children also participated in a cooking experience, making apples on sticks and baking them in the oven. We explored the gym throughout the week, with soccer being one of the children’s favourite activities.

Lalor East TheirCare also follows Sun Smart and as of 1 September, we encourage children when going outside to place suncream and sunhats.
Please make sure your child have a hat in their bag for when attending our session.
If your child requires special sunscreen please let the staff know, as we only carry 50+ homebrand.
Parents are required to get their child/ren warmer jackets as we encourage and support indoor/outdoor play.
It would be amazing to have families share any recipes with us as we are starting with our Cooking club as of next week
