Group 9

This term, Group 9 has been focusing on building independence across all areas of learning. Students have been practising everyday self-care skills, including putting on their shoes and socks, while continuing to build independence with familiar daily routines.

We have introduced coloured learning stations, where students work on English, Mathematics and Personal and Social Capability skills in parallel or small-group settings. These learning experiences encourage students to work alongside their peers while building confidence, engagement and independence.

During learning rotations, students have started using schedule strips to support independent transitions between activities. Students follow their schedule strip from left to right, helping them identify what comes next while remaining engaged in their learning.

This term, students have also been exploring the Science and Health and Physical Education curriculum through a range of engaging books, discussions and hands-on learning experiences. These activities have supported students to develop their understanding of the world around them, explore new concepts, and participate in practical learning opportunities.

We are proud of the progress Group 9 has made this term and look forward to seeing their confidence and independence continue to grow throughout the year.
