Room 14 Playground Designs and Power Point

Last term, all 3/4 students became engineers and designers. We explored how playground equipment works by investigating the forces that make things move, including push, pull, gravity and friction. We also discovered that choosing the right materials is an important part of designing something that is safe, strong and sustainable.

Using the design process, we planned, built, tested, improved and evaluated our playground equipment prototypes. Today, we are excited to share some of our creations with you and explain the thinking behind them.

We hope you enjoy seeing how science, creativity and problem-solving came together in our playground designs!

Room 4 Reading to Write and Power Point

Students in room 4 have been using a mentor text to analyse sentence structure and use of language in their writing.

Using the sentence, ‘In Milla’s town, where the sun kisses the waves, and the sand tickles your toes, there is a jetty.’, students then wrote their own sentences and presented these at assembly on Monday. Enjoy!
