Welcome back everyone! This term many of our children will be building their very own terrariums. This will build their understanding of the intricate balance of the earth’s spheres :
Geosphere - rocks, earth, molten lava
Atmosphere - gases/air
Biosphere - plants, animals
Hydrosphere - water

We would love to help you recycle your jars (with lids) from home for the project. If you have any clean jars you no longer need please bring them into the office, we will have a box for you to deposit them into.
Thank you so much for your support!
At the end of last term, the Grade Prep to Two children were focussing on developing their teamwork and ensuring that they were adopting inclusive practises when playing team games. Teamwork not only supports physical development but also social and emotional growth. Through structured activities, the children worked collaboratively with their class mates, shared equipment, took turns and showed support for one another. We look forward to starting this term with a unit on skipping, developing hand eye coordination, timing and fitness.

The Grade Three to Six children also had teamwork as a primary focus during our sports lessons. Through team games and relays, the children practised positive communication with team mates, supported one another and cheered on others, whether they were winning or losing. This builds confidence, resilience and strengthens relationships among peers. The Grade 3/4 children will begin this term with a unit on hockey and the Grade 5/6 children will begin with touch rugby.
