Book Week 2026

Book Fair
Monday 24th August until Friday Morning 28th August.
Parents, grandparents or other caregivers are warmly invited to browse and purchase books directly from the Fair during the following times:
Before school 8:30-8:45 am and after school 3:15-3:30
Money raised from the Book Fair provides more books for your children at St John’s. Last year, we raised approximately $900 and bought more decodable home reading books for our Grade 1/2 students.
During the week, each class will visit and explore the books on offer. Each student will bring home a book ‘Wish List’ to share with you.
Onsite payments can be made with cash/card. Eftpos is the preferred method of payment.
To pay for a book online, please follow the instructions on the back of the Wish List.
Go to Book Fair Payment. Follow the prompts and make your payment. (Be sure to choose BOOK FAIRS payment, not Book Club)
This is for payment only. Books will be ordered at school
Please ensure you fill out details on the back of the Wish List, including the receipt number
Please return the Wish List to school by Friday 28th August.
Book Week Dress Up Day and Parade
Book Week 2026 runs from 24-28th August and this year’s theme is “Symphony of Stories”.
We will be celebrating Book Week with a parade for all students on Wednesday 26th August. Students and teachers are encouraged to dress up as a favourite book character. You do not need to purchase an expensive costume for the parade. Encourage your child to be creative and design a costume from items that you have at home.
There will be book parade prizes for:
- most interesting character
- most creative costume
- most enthusiastic participant
Book Week PJ Day
Students can come dressed in their Pajamas and bring their favourite book on Friday 28th August.
