Dear Stage 2 Families
This year the Stage 2 fundraiser is the Debutante Ball. The Ball is being held on Saturday May 9, 2026. This is a community event and is only offered by our school to the young women of Junee and is a special milestone in their lives. There are many jobs that need to be done and the more volunteers we have, the easier it will be for everyone.
Below are the jobs that are needed to be filled to ensure this event runs smoothly.
There will be a meeting next Wednesday 1st April at 3.30pm in the school library for Stage 2 parents to meet with Kylee Huard who is coordinating this event.
Below is a list of jobs that are required to be done. If you are able to help with any of the jobs below, please contact our office as soon as possible so we can get the ball rolling.
- Raffle Co-ordinator: 1-2 people
This year, we will be having one major prize for the raffle. It could be an esky, beer and bbq pack, dinner and movie, movie & bowling etc. Raffle
co-ordinators will approach the business/es and organise the prize
- Head Decorator/s: 1-2 people
- Co-ordination of Decorations including organising table decor, table numbers, names and signs (through Amanda Riley), flowers and liasing with Emma Chisholm at Storehouse Botanica, arbour and arbour decor, red carpet etc. St Joseph's have table name holders and vases as well as various other items in the MPC that are used. There will be a meeting next week to discuss all decorating
- Decorating Assistants to set up on Friday, May 8: 6 people minimum
- Setting up tables and chairs, placing tableclothes, setting up the arbour and decorating it, table decorations etc as led by the Head Decorators
- Photographer Assistants: 2 people
- Assist debutantes and their partners with flowers, gloves etc as they arrive for their photos between 2:30pm and 5:00pm on Saturday, May 9th at Memorial Park
- Food and platters for debutantes, partners and officials on the night: 4 people
- Distribution of platters/food etc on tables during the Deb Ball
- Door & Raffle from 5:30 pm on the night: 2-3 people
- Sit at door and mark off names as they arrive and sell raffle tickets
- Ball Assistants for the duration of the Ball: 2-4 people
- General assistance when required, answering/assisting questions from guests. Clean tables at the end of the night ie rubbish etc and remove tableclothes. The Deb Ball usually runs until 11pm-12am
