Cowra Japanese Gardens

Last Friday Year 2 travelled to the Japanese Gardens in Cowra for the 2026 Kōyō Matsuri Festival to celebrate the arrival of Autumn. Kōyō Matsuri showcases Japanese culture through a range of activities and demonstrations and celebrates the garden’s transformation into a sea of red, orange, and gold leaves. We celebrated the turning of the season with a traditional tea ceremony, a kabuki performance, kyudo kai (archery), kimono displays, bonsai planting, a Japanese comedy show, fish feeding and origami! It was such a fabulous day for the children and teachers alike!
