What's happening in classrooms?
We read Sorry Day. Sorry Day is about bad people who took Aboriginal children from their parents and took them away. They took them to schools and away from their family. It makes me sad. We watched the video of the man saying sorry and the people were happy crying that he said sorry. They were saying sorry for taking the kids away.

Maths
In maths we are making bedrooms out of boxes. We are working in partners for this project. We are measuring in mm and cm. So far we have measured carpets and built beds. In the boxes we have installed lights from christmas decorations.

French
Bonjour! In French we have been learning about the seasons and songs about a wolf some of you have heard, a bit like little red riding hood. We watched funny videos about it. I think we've been catching on but I'm sure there's more to come.

Kitchen Garden
At Kitchen Garden we cook whole foods and eat them. We have made scones, salads, muffins, sandwiches and other foods. While it is cooking we go outside to play but sometimes we stay inside to draw on napkins to set the table.

4/5/6 Winter Sports Carnivals-Netball and Soccer
We are so proud of all the effort that the students put in to train for these two days. They gave up a lot of their play time for their teams. The year 6 students planned training activities and were so encouraging to the less experienced students. On the sports days, everyone was very supportive of each other and they had a great time!
