Principal's Report

Dear Families,
SPELLING
Students have been exploring silent letters during their spelling inquiry. They investigated words with silent letters, such as knock, write, and signal, and looked for patterns to help them understand how these words are spelled. Students enjoyed finding examples in their reading and practising using these words in their writing.
COOKING
This week, students in the Grade 3/4 area enjoyed making rum balls and proudly shared them with their classmates
ONE TREE PER CHILD
This morning the Grade 5/6s participated in the "One Tree per Child" program. The aim of One Tree Per Child is to get every child to plant at least one tree before they leave school.
Founded by Olivia Newton-John and Jon Dee, One Tree Per Child has planted trees in 10 countries. The plants were local native species which many of them are now endangered due to land clearing. Since becoming the first council in Australia to adopt the initiative in 2016, Greater Shepparton has planted almost 200,000 indigenous trees, shrubs, grasses and groundcovers through the program.
