Reminders:

Please ensure that students are bringing their red reader bags each day. These will be used to send home readers, as well as some hard copy communication and assessment pieces.

The Homework expectations for this term are:

Hearing your child read their take home book every night. After they have read, ask them to retell what happed at the beginning, middle and end of the story. Also ask questions focusing on who, what, when, why and where. Try to encourage them to relate the text to something in their lives.
Reading the Magic 300 Words every week and optional spelling practice.

Explore exciting websites and iPad apps like: Nessy (Online Literacy Platform) and Matific (Online Maths Platform). More information and student login details will be provided during the term.
