School Leaders

The 27th May marked the start of Reconciliation week and we had a week of celebration at St Gabriel’s, including working with our Artist in Residence, Peter Hood and our ‘Wear it Yellow’ day. 

On Tuesday the 28th our Social Justice Leaders, Daniel, Sienna and Mercedes visited all hubs to collect donations for Common Ground a not for profit organisation delivering self determination, education, health and employment opportunities for First Nation people.

They had visited hubs the day before to pump this initiative up and it felt so good to count our donation of $156 and send it off to Common Ground. The day we donated they also had a foundation that was matching donations $1 for $1 so we actually raised $312!!!

Social justice is a concept that holds that all people should have equal access to wealth, health, well-being, privileges, and opportunity.
