Futsal Clinics

We were lucky enough to have some guest coaches visit us over the last couple of weeks during our Sports lessons. The coaches are from Futsal Oz in Thomastown, and they taught us the difference between futsal and soccer and have helped us refine our ball control and teamwork skills. The children played futsal themed Octopus, practised dribbling and taking penalty shots for goal and played lots of friendly matches. The children had lots of fun learning about futsal!

Inter School Sports update

This term our Grade 5/6 students have been competing in netball and soccer in our Inter School Sports district competition. Games are held at local primary schools and parks in our area. The children have been training hard during the week and bringing their best effort and sportsmanship to games every Friday morning. We have four teams that play and there are 11 schools in our competition. Our mixed soccer team is sitting at 5th place on the ladder, our girl’s soccer team is sitting at 9th. Our mixed netball team is 4th place and our girl’s netball team is 3rd. The final game is next Friday, 14th June. The grand final will be played by the top two teams on the ladder the following week. GO ST. GABRIEL’S!!
