The Sacrament of Reconciliation: Experiencing God's Mercy

Our Year 2 students will celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Wednesday 28 October, an important milestone in their faith journey. Through this sacrament, children encounter God's loving mercy and forgiveness, learning that we can always turn to Him with trust, knowing that His love for us never fails. Reconciliation is often described as a sacrament of forgiveness, healing and new beginnings. It reminds us that while we all make mistakes, God invites us to seek forgiveness, make things right, and begin again with renewed hearts.

As a family, you may like to continue this conversation at home by watching the inspiring video below about the power of forgiveness. It shares the story of Danny Abdallah, whose remarkable response of forgiveness following the tragic loss of his children has touched people around the world. His witness reminds us that forgiveness can bring healing, hope and transformation, even in the most difficult circumstances. 🎥 Watch the video here: Watch here

As we keep our Year 2 students in our prayers, may we all be inspired to open our hearts to God's mercy and to extend forgiveness to others, just as Christ forgives us. 💜🙏🏻
