Class of 2023: One-Year Reunion
The Class of 2023 had a fantastic time celebrating their One-Year Reunion on Friday 29 November. The evening was filled with lively conversations and laughter as alumni gathered at GPO to reconnect and reflect on the year since graduation. While some are continuing their studies, others have taken time to explore new interests and experiences. Many have already begun their careers, stepping into various fields and exciting new opportunities. We can’t wait to reunite with all of you again for the next milestone in your journey!
Class of 2019: Five-Year Reunion
The Class of 2019 enjoyed a fantastic evening during their Five-Year Reunion on Saturday 16 March. The atmosphere was ideal in the courtyard of GPO, filled with lots of laughter as attendees enjoyed catching up on the years gone by. While some alumni are still immersed in their studies, others have chosen to take a year off to explore new interests. Many have successfully secured their first jobs, with careers in a variety of different fields. We eagerly await the opportunity to reunite with all of you once again for your 10-Year Reunion!
Class of 2014: 10-Year Reunion
We had a fantastic time reuniting with the Class of 2014 at their 10-Year Reunion on Saturday 20 April at the Rifle Brigade. Our dedicated alumni have explored a wide variety of career paths including public service, finance, copywriting, project management, pharmaceutical science, farming, teaching and much more. It was wonderful to see this group of Old Girtonians reconnecting with their old schoolmates.
Class of 2004: 20-Year Reunion
The Class of 2004 gathered for their 20-Year Reunion on Saturday 27 July, and what a memorable event it was! It was heartwarming to see old friends come together and reconnect after so many years apart.
The night was filled with laughter, hugs and endless conversations as classmates swapped stories and reminisced about their school days. It was amazing to see how life has unfolded for each individual since graduation. Some classmates have started families, others have pursued exciting careers, but no matter where life has taken them, the bond of shared school experiences remains strong.
Class of 1994: 30-Year Reunion
The Class of 1994 came together for a reunion on Saturday 15 June at the Brougham Arms Hotel. It was a joy to witness old classmates reconnect and share stories of their experiences over the past three decades.
Class of 1984: 40-Year Reunion
It was wonderful meeting the Class of 1984 at their 40-Year Reunion. They may have been few in number, but they definitely made up for it with their vibrant personalities.
The day started with a fun stroll down memory lane as we walked through the school grounds, listening to stories of life as boarders in the early 80s. There was much laughter and reflection as tales were told.
The reunion continued into the evening for dinner at the Brougham Arms Hotel, where more former school friends joined the group and reconnected.
Celebrating 50 Years of Memories: The Class of 1974 Reunion
The much-awaited day finally arrived as the graduates of the Class of 1974 reunited to celebrate their 50th reunion on Friday 20 September. It was a joyous occasion as the former classmates embarked on a nostalgic journey, reminiscing about their school days and creating new memories to cherish.
The day kicked off with a morning tea in the d’Helin Building, where Dr Emma O’Rielly gave a warm welcome. This was followed by a school tour led by Mr Don Thompson, where laughter echoed through the hallways as old stories were shared. Memories of school plays, sporting triumphs and classroom shenanigans resurfaced, creating an atmosphere filled with warmth and camaraderie.
After a delightful morning at Girton, the group ventured to the picturesque Balgownie Winery for lunch. Surrounded by vineyards and good company, the Class of 1974 celebrated enduring friendships and unforgettable experiences that have stood the test of time. As the day came to a close, it was evident that the bond shared by these Old Girtonians was as strong as ever. The reunion served as a reminder that the connections forged during school years are timeless, and that the doors of Girton are always open to welcome back this lively and friendly group.
