Welcome to the ACPS Pridelands,
A big THANK YOU to everyone who auditioned for our production of Disney The Lion King Junior. There were six people involved on the casting panel and a further two industry guest panelists who assisted with the callbacks and the final casting. We were blown away by the quality of talent at ACPS and are pleased to announce the following people as our principal cast:

UNDERSTUDIES:
An understudy is someone who learns a principal role and goes on when a principal is sick. Given the volatile nature of the pandemic - we will invite some people to understudy our principal roles. They will be announced in the coming weeks.
DANCE CAPTAINS:
Dance Captains are responsible for assisting the teaching of choreography to the cast - we will cast these positions as we move towards choreography and staging.
REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals for the Ensemble are on Monday Lunchtime at the 1:30pm (the first bell) Please bring your lunch and come to the blue basketball court asap.
Rehearsals for Principals occurs on Friday at lunchtime. Please check the rehearsal schedule for your time. Times are 1:30pm and 2pm
Please bring a HIGHLIGHTER, LEAD PENCIL and ERASER.
Just a note to parents and children. We have very limited time at lunch to learn all the songs. We will move pretty quickly and ask the children to revise their songs at home. We are going to introduce a “BUDDY” system next week so that the Grade 5&6’s can look after the Grade 1 and 2’s.

1:30-2pm - Young Simba/Young Nala/Zazu - “I just Can’t Wait To Be King”
2-2:15pm - Young Simba/Simba/Timon/Pumbaa - “Hakuna Matata 1 & 2”
KEEPING UP TO DATE:
We will put the rehearsal schedule up on the board at the theatre each Friday for the following week. It will also be in the school weekly newsletter. We will also email it out to families.

Here is a list of our Fabulous Ensemble. If your name is spelt incorrectly on this list, it doesn’t appear on this list (and it should) or you have changed your mind and no longer wish to take part - please contact Jho Suckling (production Manager) at: pfshows@gmail.com
You do not need to audition to be in the ensemble, however, you will need to attend all rehearsals.

NON PERFORMERS are an essential part of any production. We are aiming to give people who do not wish to be onstage some wonderful opportunities to contribute to this production. We will educate children in all different aspects of the “non performing” elements to the show.
