Working bee
We will be holding a working bee on Sunday May 15 from 9-11am and look forward to seeing as many families as possible attend. We haven't been able to hold many over the last two years so we've got some work to do!
Our top priorities will be mulch spreading (again... this is a working bee staple as it maintains the safety standards required surrounding the playgrounds) and replenishing the sand levels to the sandpit outside the prep classroom. Other jobs on the list include external cleaning doors/windows/entry to the theatre, repainting the hand rail around the deck of the 3/4 and 5/6 rooms and cleaning the entrance of the library.
As always, we will provide some equipment, however, any additional equipment (clearly labelled) you can bring makes the morning a bit easier. A light morning tea will also be provided at the conclusion - we look forward to seeing you and your family.

New polo shirts now available
Some of you may have already noticed them around school (or bought some yourself), but our new polo shirts are now available from PSW.
The school has purchased the remaining stock of the old white and navy polo tops and we will be holding several sale days where we sell them all for $15 each (approximately half of RRP).
The School Council agreed that we will not set a deadline for the new uniform to be compulsory, so you will be able to buy the old-style polo tops knowing that your child(ren) can wear them for as long as they like (or as long as the tops last).
We have a new addition to our school uniform - a puffer jacket. We have a sample in the office if you'd like to take a look and we think it's going to be very popular for winter. It looks great, is hard-wearing and is very warm. Just the kind of jacket that would have been very useful this week!
We are also looking at adding an official ACPS beanie and have two designs to choose from. As with the school dress and polo shirt, we'd like some input from the community to help us decide so look out for a short survey asking which design you (or your children) prefer to be sent out early next week.
Enjoy your weekend,
Jimmy Harris
