Balaclava District Swimming Carnival

Kylie Burns, Junior School District Sport Coordinator

29 Years 3 to 6 students recently competed for Kilvington against other Balaclava District schools. Many of them committed to before school training sessions, and it was pleasing to see how much they improved from the sessions.

With a wonderful team effort, Kilvington won the Small Schools trophy, an excellent effort!

Congratulations to Henry Bath who came 1st in the 12/13YO Freestyle, Chelsey Li who placed 2nd in the 9/10YO Backstroke and Evelyn Zhou who placed 2nd in the 11YO Butterfly. All will now progress to the Beachside Division Swimming Carnival.

Well done also to all students who won ribbons on the day and the relay teams who displayed great teamwork!

Thank you to swim coaches Miss Hedger and Kaitlyn Truong (former student and School Captain), Mr Bishop for facilitating the Swimming Program, and to Mr Hewitt, Mrs Whitehead and former student Bridie Linehan for attending the carnival.

Senior School House Swimming Carnival

We recently returned with great enthusiasm to GSAC for our Senior School House Swimming Carnival.

It was a brilliant day and so great to see our students and staff thoroughly enjoying themselves. Congratulations to everyone for their contributions.
