Jazz cabaret evening

On Friday 1 April, there will be a Jazz Cabaret for all Years 7 to 12 students and parents.  Senior school students will have the opportunity to showcase their talent through performances which include an array of music, jazz and blues items.

After multiple Covid lockdowns, we are fortunate this year to finally perform live again, and we have secured the Glen Eira Town Hall Caulfield for the event. The evening will run from 6.00pm to 8.30pm.

Feel free to come along with family and friends and bring food and drinks while enjoying an entertaining night of music. There will also be prizes.

Further information on booking seats through Trybooking will be available early March.

Calling all Years 7 and 8 students

The last two years of remote learning have been tough for us all.  Students in Years 7 and 8 have not had an opportunity to participate in live face-to-face rehearsals.  We invite all Years 7 and 8 students to try one of our performance groups.  

All students learning an instrument or taking voice lessons should be in an ensemble group or a choir. Please have a chat to Ms Bull about which group is best for your child.

Harmonies for Harmony day - 22 March, 2022 

We encourage all music students from Years 7 to 12 to perform! All types of performances are welcome.

If you are interested in performing on Harmony Day, please contact Ms Bull or the School Music Captains. 

Student achievements in music

Student Achievements is a regular segment in our ITK newsletter. Please let the Music Department know of any student achievements in performing arts such as a performance in an Eisteddfod, dance competition, a part in a dramatic play or a performance in the wider community.

New initiatives 

In the coming weeks, we will be introducing the Performer’s Lounge - recorded performances of our Senior School students either completing VCE music or completing AMEB exams or competitions.  

We will also be sharing performers of the week. Watch this space!
