Important information from our Business Manager
Student accident insurance arrangements
Families are reminded that neither Koonung Secondary College nor the Department of Education and Training provide personal accident insurance for students. Parents and guardians are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including any transport costs. Student accident insurance policies are available from some commercial insurers. These cover a range of medical expenses not covered by Medicare or private health insurance.
It is recommended that families seek assistance in this matter with their insurance broker or find a suitable personal accident insurer.
Canteen
Please find attached the 2019 canteen menu. The canteen staff will be serving a selection of items from this menu each day. Please note that not all items are available every day but there will be a variety of foods available for students to choose. The canteen is open every day from 8 am. To avoid disappointment students are advised to place lunch orders at the start of the day.

Multicultural Night - 16 May
You are invited to the 2019 KSC Multicultural Night on Thursday 16 May. This is a wonderful night where we celebrate multiculturalism at Koonung and share dinner whilst enjoying live music performed by our students. Details are as follows:

Time: 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Cost: Free, but please bring a plate to share
The booking form is attached. We would be delighted if you could bring a plate of food to share on the night. To assist us with catering please complete the attached booking form and return this form to the International Student Office by 4pm Monday 6 May 2019.
Autumn Music Concert -29 May
Koonung Music presents the Autumn Music Concert featuring: solos, duets and small to large ensembles performing a wide range from rock bands to concert bands. This event will be held on Wednesday 29 May at 7:30pm in the Koonung theatre. Tickets to this wonderful event are available via the following Trybooking link below. There is only one concert and tickets sell out quickly so please book early to avoid disappointment.

College Play - "Something Wicked"
Tickets for the 2019 school play "Something Wicked" are now available on Try Booking. This hilarious modern comedy about 5 school girls who get trapped in the world of Macbeth, have their wildest dreams come true but pay the price for magical success will have ye laughing and on the edge of thy seat. The play will be held in the Koonung Theatre over three nights, Thursday 23 May to Saturday 25 May commencing at 7:30pm.

Save the date for our College Musical - "Legally Blonde"
This year our College Musical will be the very entertaining "Legally Blonde - The Musical" . This will be another unmissable event in your annual calendar so don't forget to save the date! Performance dates are as follows:
25, 26 and 27 July at 7:30pm
28 July at 2:30pm
1, 2 and 3 August at 7:30pm
We will advise when tickets are available for purchase.
The College Musical team will be conducting a fundraiser on Saturday - drop by and pick up a sausage when you come to vote.
MASH is seeking models for Vintage fashion and antiques fair
Mont Albert & Surrey Hills Rotary are holding a Retro, Antiques & Collectables Fair on the weekend of 25 & 26 May. If you are interested in assisting with modelling for this event please contact the KSC general office.
