MacKillop Reflection

VCAL Learning area Reflection

So far, this year MacKillop and the VCAL learning area has been busy. In between cluster sports, social justice projects, the bees producing CRC Gold, making tomato chutney in Manna, and studying we have acquired some of the responsibility of looking after Bella. Bella’s introduction to the school so far has been interesting to say the least. Bella is an Australian terrier; she is friendly, playful and ready to learn. The best thing about Bella is the smiles she brings to the students and staffs faces when they see her. Bella has been learning how to be a dog as she is only a puppy and is still in training. We have been fortunate enough in VCAL to spend time with Bella, we all completed the Responsible Pet Ownership certificate and we have been researching animal welfare agencies such as the RSPCA and Lort Smith Animal shelter. Bella will continue to be a part of the school community and the smiles she brings to the faces around our community mean that her presence amongst us brings has a positive effect on us.
