GROWING TOGETHER 

GUINEA PIGS, PREPS PLANTING POPPIES, AND A FROG FROM CUBA!

Guinea pigs in garden paradise. The much-anticipated arrival of the guinea pigs has taken place. It has seen record numbers of students flock to the garden. Our world-famous Gurus and Angels speedily put together a competition to get them all named. They were announced at Wednesday’s assembly amidst drum roles and applause. 

They are: Snowy (the white one), Caviar (our social influencer), Lily (the hippie), Lunar(astrologer), Caramel (the chocolatier), and my favourite Frankie (the good looking one). That’s one diverse and talented range of guinea pigs! 

Many thanks to the Lalor family for confirming the donation of two blue tongue lizards. We’ll definitely get Max down to set them free when they arrive early next term. The Garden Gurus have spent a couple of days preparing the enclosure for their arrival. Thanks, Gurus. I don’t know what we’d do without you. 

Out of the blue and into the frog enclosure, we had a surprise visit from Cuba with a spotted marsh frog. He flicked it into the water (literally) and it was gone in a flash ... and splash. He was kind enough to donate it to the school and we were delighted to take it. A frog from Cuba: who would've thought? 

In other news the trusty team of Xenophon, Jagger, Tyler, Ben, and Leahdonated their time to help our very enthusiastic prep students plant poppies. We hope the prep area will be full of colour for Anzac Day. It's just a joy to see so many enthusiastic students hard at work making our school look better. Thanks to all involved.
