Australia Day Nominations 2023

Murray River Council’s Australia Day Nominations for 2023 are closing Monday 14 November 2022. 

 

Do you know a member of your community who deserves to be nominated?

It might be someone who has made a significant contribution to your town, a group or event that has kept things ticking in your community or someone who has excelled in their personal pursuits.

 

Now more than ever we should recognise the amazing efforts of individuals and groups in the community - so we encourage you to nominate them for an Australia Day Award.

 

The nomination process is simple- you just need to tell us why they deserve an award. 

We are seeking your assistance to ensure deserving members of the Murray River Council community are recognised for their contributions and holding with the important role in the community your committee hold we hope you can assist maybe event nominate from within your committee.

Hockey Clinic

Hockey One Finals Hookin2Hockey Clinic 

Date: Thursday 17 November, 4pm 

Cost: None

Location: The Bendigo Regional Hockey Complex, 14-30 Ashley St Ironbark 3550 

Age: Primary school aged children, Prep- grade 6. 

Details: A one hour super clinic aimed at learning the basic skills of hockey in a fun, safe and interactive environment. This session will be run by previous Kookaburra, Mark Knowles OAM and Blair Chalmers along with local coaches. Register below to get amongst the athletes and hockey action this November during the Hockey One finals series! This clinic has limited spaces, so get in fast!

Life Camps Australia - Summer Camps

Summer Camps are now OPEN for registration! YTC's is a 5 day, 4 night camp for teens in Years 7-9, and OTC's is a 5 day, 4 night camp for teens in Years 10-12. These camps centre around loads of fun, building community, growing young people's Christian faith and helping them keep in step with the Spirit in an everyday way.

YTC's is 5 days full of interactive studies, sports rotations, girls and guys night, worship and singing, a full on dam (water) day, movie night, the best food around and a chance to meet life long friends​.

We explore life issues such as faith, relationships, peer pressure, social media and other relevant topics.

Older Teen's Camp

16-20 January 2023

Murray Life Adventures, Echuca

OTC's is for older youth who want to keep growing in God and figure out how to follow Jesus in real life.​

Much time is spent in talking, singing, and being encouraged by passionate mentors and speakers.

There is also lots of free time, amazing food, large doses of fun and a powerful atmosphere of love, support and encouragement to develop friendships and their faith.
