Around the school

Year 6 Science
Contact forces
During the first week of this term, students were introduced to Newton and his third law of motion, “For every reaction there is an equal an opposite reaction”. To explore this law, students, in their team, designed and built a balloon car. Such excitement was had as they raced their cars against one another. When the winner was asked, “What did you do to make your car the fastest?” the reply was simply, “We made it as light as possible”.
The magic of bubbles
Last term, Year 6 students were introduced to bubbles as gas surrounded by a liquid. They were encouraged to build bubbles within bubbles or to make the largest bubble possible. Our students really enjoyed their adventures into the land of bubbles.
