The College Time Capsule

Following the commencement of building works at the College,  some commenters on our College Facebook page were sharing memories of the placing of a time capsule in the precinct of the school gymnasium.  

The time capsule has spent the past 26 years since its interment on 20 March 1994 under a plaque in the foyer of the gym. It was placed there during the building of the current gym.

The plaque reads:  

Under this plaque is buried a time capsule containing some records of the life and history of O'Connor Catholic High School and the City of Armidale. It was placed here on 20th March, 1994 during the building of this gymnasium.

We are pleased to share that the capsule has been safely recovered in the alterations to the gym and that Principal Ms Regina Menz is formulating plans for an opening of the capsule at a date to be announced. We will keep you posted on any future proceedings.
