Cross Country

Monday the 26th of April saw the very first running of the Annual Tarneit Senior College House Cross Country. Students from all years competed for House Glory in a 3km track around both the College grounds and local community ovals. Students dressed in House colours in an attempt to not only distribute House pride, but also compete for the ultimate prize of House champions!

It was outstanding to see students run, jog, and walk their way around the track in what was an exciting and fun afternoon for all involved!

Each student that crossed the finish line received a point for their House, students who finished in the top 15 positions of their Age Group/Gender received three points towards their house.

After students finished the course, they participated in a variety of sports including basketball, volleyball, table tennis, down ball, and indoor soccer. This was followed by a free BBQ lunch which was superbly run by Jamie and the VCAL students.

At the conclusion of the day, points were tallied and ultimately there could only be one winner..

In Fourth place on 170 points was Chirnside

In Third place on 178 points was Gillard

In Second place on 199 points was Balak

In First place on 225 points was Penrose!

A massive congratulations to Penrose for taking out the first ever House Cross Country, a title that will have to be fiercely guarded next year!
