Congratulations to our U16 girls Futsal team
Congratulations to Jarrod Carluccio for his continued outstanding performances in football this year.
He was an integral member and captain of his NSW team who won the Gold medal and crowned National Champions at the School Sport Australia Opens Boys Football Championships. Jarrod’s superb displays were rewarded with his selection for the second consecutive year in the Australian Schoolboys Football team to tour the United Kingdom next January.
This is a truly outstanding achievement. We wish Jarrod all the best for his tour next year.
Michelle Prasad, Jaydan Prasad, Brendan Prasad, Bianca Dempsey, Vanessa Parada and Marcus Saggiomo competed at the NSW All Schools Cross Country Championships last week. This is the largest representation we have had at this level. They all tried their best. Congratulations to all students on their fantastic cross country season.
Renae Prasad of Year 9 has just returned to school after her success in the recent Fiji Nationals Swimming Championships. Read all about Renae's experience here.
Recently, we competed in the Football NSW Futsal State Championships. We had teams in the U14, U16 and Opens Girls competitions as well as the U14 Boys event. All teams played very well. The U14 and Opens Girls failed to progress from their pools. The U14 boys topped their pool but bowed out in the quarters. The U16 Girls were our best performed team. They finished second in their pool, won their quarter final but bowed out in the semi-finals to the eventual winners. An outstanding effort all team members.
Futsal is a sport widely embraced by the students here at our school and we will continue to foster the development of our students.
On her recent visit to Cecil Hills High School, Mulgoa MP Tanya Davies presented awards to students who won events at the recent Zone Carnival. Special mention of Georgia Portelli who received the NSW State Government Representative award for students that represent NSW in Sporting. Congratulations to all students.
The Year 9 & 10 Winter competition is in full swing with all teams participating well. Most of our teams are in contention for finals spots at the half-way point of the competition and we are anticipating good performances and results from our teams in the remaining rounds of the competition.
