Black Ranges Cricket

This week our senior boys’ cricketers squared off in a T20 match against Horsham College. It was the first time for some years that our school has put a team onto the park and, whilst we didn’t win, the boys gave a very good account of themselves.

We bowled first and kept a very strong Horsham College batting team to a competitive score of 8 for 153. Judd Wright, Archie Elliott, Seth French, Nick Gardiner, Tom Luke and Ryan Ahern all got a wicket each and Alex Rees snared 2.

St Brigid's then batted and made 4 for 129. The openers led the way as Tom Sostheim and Sean McDonald got us off to a flier by making 48 and 42 respectively in a very entertaining partnership. Lewis Hofmaier came in at number 3 and made a well compiled 17.

It was a terrific game of cricket, played in great spirit and the boys represented our school with distinction.
