WELCOME TO ST BRIGID'S | Introducing Mr Walker

Another new face to St Brigid's this year, welcome George Walker! This year you will find Mr Walker teaching in the Maths and Physical Education departments.

Mr Walker is looking forward to building rapport with all of his students and colleagues, and is excited to go on the Year 7 Robe Camp! An interesting fact about Mr Walker is that his first name is actually Robert, however it's a family tradition to go by his middle name, George!

WELCOME TO ST BRIGID'S | Introducing Ms McCann

You'll find Victoria teaching Science and VCE Biology.

"I relocated to Horsham as part of the Teach for Australia initiative and have since made it my home. I am eager to become deeply involved in the St B's community and foster meaningful connections with my students.

My passion for learning, particularly in the field of science, inspired me to pursue a career in teaching. This is my third degree and I am confident that I have found my calling in helping students achieve their goals and sparking a love of learning in them.

In my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with friends over coffee, taking my beloved dog for walks, and indulging my interest in law, science, and history by listening to podcasts. An interesting fact about me is that I am an avid traveller and have been to 37 countries and counting, seeking out new experiences and cultures."

WELCOME TO ST BRIGID'S | Introducing Mrs Yoko Cross

This year we welcome back to St Brigid's, Mrs Yoko Cross! Mrs Cross was an education support with our school for two years from 2020, and she is now back teaching Japanese.

An interesting fact about Yoko is that she dreams in two languages, English and Japanese! She is looking forward to getting to know all the students and families at St Brigid's.

WELCOME TO ST BRIGID'S | Introducing Mr Taylor

This year we welcome back to St Brigid's, Mr Darcy Taylor! After a few years away from Horsham, Darcy has returned and you'll find him teaching Maths.

"I chose to return to St Brigid's because I love the community feel a smaller school like St Brigid's offers. I love how easy it is to get to know all of the students and their passions.

Outside of work I am a long-suffering member of the Carlton Football Club (2023 is our year) and love going for a hit of golf with my golfing partner Mr. McDonald and the opposition duo Mr. Walker and Mr. Werner.

I have taught in 3 countries...can you guess them?"
