During the school holiday break, we had an amazing opportunity to be part of a special European Music Tour. A group of 28 students, including us, embarked on this extraordinary journey, exploring different destinations in Austria and Italy. We started in Salzburg and ended our adventure in Rome, creating countless unforgettable memories along the way.
One of the highlights of our tour was the privilege of performing in front of diverse audiences at magnificent venues, including the Mirabel Gardens and the Melk Abbey. The compliments we received about our performances were truly heart-warming and a testament to the hard work put in by each ensemble prior to the trip.
Moreover, throughout our remarkable journey, we evolved from a group of 28 girls to a close-knit group, building strong connections and nurturing lifelong friendships that will endure indefinitely.
Now, let's talk about the food. Every evening, we were treated to delicious three-course meals. In Austria, we savoured delightful soups, and, of course, in Italy, we indulged in mouth-watering pasta. Each morning, we all eagerly awaited the announcement of the night's dinner menu. Additionally, we had the freedom to choose our own lunch meals at each destination, allowing us to try out the local cuisine or, on rare occasions, even opt for a meal at McDonald's.
Throughout the entire two-week tour, we were fortunate to have Jasmine as our exceptional tour guide. She ensured that we arrived on time for the city tours, performances, and dinner reservations. Jasmine's guidance was invaluable, and we owe our smooth journey to her expertise. We also express our gratitude to our two amazing bus drivers who supported and entertained us every step of the way.
Last but not least, we want to extend a huge thank you to the four incredible staff members who made this tour possible. Mrs Lockyer, Mr O, Mrs Gordon, and Rev tirelessly dedicated their time and effort to plan this trip. They took care of every detail, from creating the itinerary and booking our flights and hotels to ensuring that each ensemble sounded extraordinary. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had their ongoing guidance and support before and throughout the trip.
