Recently there have been some very significant events in the Catholic liturgical year.
We celebrated Pentecost, what is often called the birthday of the church as the Holy Spirit came down to the apostles and filled them with the gift to go out and start their mission spreading the Good News to everyone they met.
We then celebrated the Holy Trinity, the great mystery of three in one, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
In St Brigid’s we have also celebrated two class masses, Reception and Year 1’s celebrated The Visitation of Blessed Virgin Mary as well as honouring National Reconciliation Week, and the Year 2/3 classes had the theme of ‘We are Heart People who are Faith Filled in Love’ for their Mass.
We are looking forward to celebrating our feast day next Friday (Friday 16th June) for the Feast of the Sacred Heart. We will be celebrating with Mass, and different activities around the school. We will also be welcoming OLSH students from year 9 and 10 to share in the joy of this special morning.
Yours in Love Peace and Learning
