Year 3/4

Biographies

Year 3/4 students finished writing our biography drafts this week. They have been writing really descriptive paragraphs under the sub headings: Birth & Early Life, Education & Childhood, Adulthood & Employment, Milestones & Achievements. The students have been working tremendously hard on these over the past two weeks. All of the students have commented about how wonderful it has been to learn more about these special people in our lives. On Thursday, students read through a partner's biography and then offered peer feedback. The students then edited and up-levelled their writing to make it the best it can be! 

Levels of Government

I liked doing Federal government because I learnt they are in charge of trade, defence, money and the environment - Sam Packman. 

I liked doing all of the levels of government because it was all so fun. We got to make stuff out of paper for each level and also draw. The part I liked the most was my front cover - Ava Huf. 

I liked doing all of the levels because it was fun making different things and we learnt a lot about all the levels of government. While we were learning about levels of government, we were learning how to take dot point notes as well - Thomas Hurley. 

I liked doing Federal, State and Local because it was fun making the quadrama and I also liked doing the front cover. It was great because we learnt about the three levels and I did not know that there were three levels of government. We had fun! - Mietta Price. 

In Federal, they take care of money and taxes and trade and also Australia Post. I had lots of fun making the quadrama - Gwyn Nettleton. 

I liked learning about government because I didn't know that there was three levels of government before - Jaxson Cross. 

I really enjoyed doing the levels of the government because I didn't know that there was three levels of the government and we also learnt about dot points and taking a notes. I enjoyed doing the first one that we done and that was local - Cooper Leese. 

I have had fun learning about the three levels of government and my favourite one was federal because I liked learning about the trade, taxes and the post - Pippa Quinn. 

I liked learning Federal, State and Local because you got to learn about the post, the defence, the army, the trade, the taxes, the environments, the telephone service. With local, we learnt about pets, permits, pools and local roads. In state we learnt about schools, health, farming, mining, roads and transport.  I liked making the quadrama and stuff to go in it - Emma Thomas.
