French

F/1

This term we have been busy learning to say the numbers to 10 in French, how to say our ages and Happy Birthday ( Bon Anniversaire). Recently we have learnt our colours. I am very impressed on the students accents and their memory of French words.

YR. 3-6

The second half of this term we have looked at famous French landmarks. The students then chose their top 5 which they would like to visit and wrote a sentence or two as to why they would like to visit them. Many students said they would like to see them all.

Today the students completed their film strips of the landmarks and their reasons for the landmarks on their ‘wish list’. Great work by all students.

A SELECTION OF WISHES.

Talia: I would like to see the Millau Bridge, it is the tallest bridge in the world and very new. I then would like to see a Roman Viaduct, which is very old.

Cooper: I would like to see all the beautiful art pieces in the Louvre.

Mietta: I would love to have dinner up the Eiffel Tower and look out over Paris.

Gwyneth: To visit Mount Saint Michel for the beautiful views and to see the tide rise around it.

Mae: I want to smell the lavender fields and run through them.

Jaxon: I want to go across the Millau Bridge when the clouds are below it.

Jack: I want to climb The Arc de Triomphe and see all the cars which meet from 12 roads, going around it.

Sam: I would travel down the Seine River at night and go passed the Eiffel Tower to see the lights on it.

Hughie: It would be really interesting to see all the rooms and the enormous garden at the Palace of Versailles.

Ctayah: It would be nice to visit the WW1&2 War Cemeteries to pay my respects to the soldiers from Australia who died helping to save France.

Max: I want to see the inside of the Palace of Versailles and look at all the gold decoration and mirrors.
