Swimming Carnival

The annual Killara High School Swimming Carnival was held on Tuesday February 8 at Lane Cove Aquatic Centre. The carnival was held as a competitors only event, showcasing some of KHS’ most dedicated and talented swimmers.
We were lucky to have a nice sunny afternoon after what was a very drizzly day. We started off with a warm up lap and jumped straight into the pet event, 50m Freestyle. We ran all 50m events and finished the carnival with 100m freestyle.
It was great to see so many students participate in the event, as well as many parent spectators. Our Sports Council representatives did an excellent job assisting the PE faculty. As did a handful of dedicated Prefect students.
Well done to Doongara who won the carnival with an impressive 578 points. Caringa came 2nd with 374 points, Mundara 3rd with 332 points and Kimba 4th with 325 points.
Congratulations to those students who were their Age Champions.
