Student & School Community Achievements

Year 7 SRC

Farewell Sue Holden

This is the Public Service medal which was to have been presented to Ms Holden at the April 3rd School Farewell, unfortunately postponed indefinitely at this stage.

Accompanying the medal would have been a framed copy of the key quotes taken from Ms Holden’s 14 years of High Achievers Assembly speeches.

At the school farewell, the covered outdoor learning area (COLA) and amphitheatre would have been declared officially open and named in honour of Ms Holden’s legacy as a leader to the school over the past 14 years. A plaque will be installed at the site in the landscaped garden:

The Sue Holden Amphitheatre

Honouring the legacy and  strong leadership of Sue Holden

   Principal (2006 – 2019)

A fierce supporter of public and girls' education

It was intended that staff, students, Cantabrians and P&C would have spoken to thank and acknowledge Ms Holden’s 14 years as Principal at Canterbury Girls High School.

Words from the School Community.
