Shrove Tuesday celebrations

Shrove Tuesday is a day observed by followers of the Christian faith all around the world and it marks the last day before Lent (Ash Wednesday) but it is celebrated even by those outside of Christianity.

This week the Level 1/2 students made pancakes to celebrate. They used the experience to then brainstorm and write a recount about the process. Being able to cook and eat the pancakes helped the students use their five sense to support them to add more detail and description to their writing. They had a great time and loved eating their yummy pancakes!
