During the School's Compliance Day, 4 students  - William Davies, Lincoln Hamilton, Harry Hoekstra and Jacob Fowles were proud to take the time to represent the school on their day off. Thank you to the parents who dropped them off and picked the students up directly at the venue. Each student would have contributed to the daily television highlights package throughout the 9 holes at Leongatha Golf Club - former students Lachlan and Ryan Thomas, currently working at Leongatha Golf Club, were able to describe a highlight from each of the students. A reminder that Woorayl Golf Club offers Friday afternoon lessons to juniors for anyone - beginning or more advanced - willing to give golf a try, no equipment is needed.

Year 10 Religious Education

Students in Mr O’Dwyer’s Year 10 Religious Education class made Poems about what we do at Mass.

This was one highly rated by the class by Andrea Binnichen

We walk into the Aisle and there we greet

He comes down from  heaven and there we meet

We pray and pray we take a stand and a seat

Singing to music, in rhythm with the beat

He turns into bread and wine which he offers for us to eat

“Come again Sunday, this Mass we will repeat”.

We Are Wolves

Katrina Nannestad

When Erich Wolf is conscripted by the German Army late in 1944 the war is already lost. He is one of the older men along with teenagers that are now forced to fight against the might of the oncoming Russian Army. The life the East Prussian Wolf family have enjoyed for many years is soon to be over.

There will be no more expensive presents, there will be no more education, there will be no more warmth, there will be no more nice food, there will be no more fun and there will be no more certainty.

We are Wolves is a story about survival by a family that never had to do more than go to the shops and light their fire to survive. In 1944 most Germans still believed, fed by unrelenting propaganda, that the German Army was so mighty that victory for Germany was just around the corner. That was not the case.

The Wolf family consisting of Mama, Oma, Opa, Liesl, Otto and Mia must leave their home. They leave just in time as the boom of bombs sound in the distance. They do things to survive they never thought that they could do. They do bad things. They do dangerous things but what choice do they have?
