Year 9-10: Rail Academy 

Interested in a career in rail? Hallam Secondary College is running a Certificate II in Heavy and Light Rail Fundamentals. 

The purpose of this VET course is to provide studentswith basic knowledge and a realistic preview of the heavy(train) and light (tram) rail industry in Victoria. Studentswill be taught in a combination of structured learning,self-directed learning and hands-on training in a simulatedwork environment. This will enable students to make amore informed choice about future employment withinan area of the industry that best suits their interest,capabilities and career aspirations.

This can be counted towards VCE and VCAL. 

If you’re interested in the course, let your VET coordinator know. The expression of interest must be submitted by the student’s home school VET coordinator (not the student or parent).
