Senior School Water Polo

The St Mary’s College Year 9-10 Water Polo team played in the Grand Final on Friday night.

Unfortunately they came up against a very strong Taroona Blue and lost 10-2. Well done nonetheless to all players on a great season and a big thank-you to coach Marcus Carter for looking after the team.

Our Year 7-8 Water Polo team reached the semi-finals but lost to Friends' Red 6-10. Thanks to Year 10 student Molly Burnett and Sandra Heaton for looking after the team! I hope everyone had a great season.

Under 9 Central Region Junior Football Association (CRJFA)

Coach: Adrian Beach

Manager:  Anna Hudson

St Mary’s College Year 3s are enjoying themselves. To many the game is new, and they are learning the basics ‘stop, look, kick!’ and are improving every week. The second half of the year we will concentrate more on positions, structure, ball transition and, as always, having fun with your teammates. Thanks to all the parents who help to make this happen each week.

Under 7 Girls CRJFA

Coach: Hamish McLaren

This is a team of absolute little champions! We had a rocky start to the season pre-grading, and the resilience and determination that these girls displayed to turn up each week with a smile is truly amazing and a credit to their parents! I must thank each and every parent for their endless support and positivity as I believe this has contributed greatly to keeping these girls going through those tough weeks! Thankfully, after grading, we were moved to a different roster and have now had a win or two! The girls are growing in confidence each week, improving and working well as a team. It is a pleasure to coach such an awesome bunch of girls. Onwards and upwards for these champions!

Half Field Hockey (Year 3-4)

Coach: Meg Pinelli and Liliana Radic

The girls had a good season with many wins, and a few losses. It has been really fun to coach them as they were all willing to learn. We hope to see them all next year for 5-6 Hockey.
