International Competitions and Assessment for Schools (ICAS)

Year 3 - 10 students have an opportunity to participate in ICAS English in 2019.

ICAS assessments have taken place annually in schools for more than 30 year across twenty countries. Educational Assessment Australia (EAA), who design and deliver the competitions, is the not-for-profit arm of the University of New South Wales.  ICAS Assessments are online assessments, designed to recognise and reward academic excellence.

The assessments are based on the curriculum for the relevant year. Students are asked to demonstrate a deeper, integrated, and thorough level of learning.

The English Competition will be held on Tuesday 17 September 2019.  For more information about ICAS, or to register your child for this competition please email Jenny Noble (Extension Program Teacher):  jnoble@smc.tas.edu.au by Tuesday 20 August.

State and national level acheivements 

If your child has had a state or national level (or equivalent) sporting, academic or arts achievement this year that you would like featured in the College's yearbook, please contact us - communications@smc.tas.edu.au

Newsletter survey results
